The Farragut area ranges from H Street in the south to M Street in the north where it meets up with the Dupont Circle area. There's a spot around Farragut Square where Connecticut Avenue disappears, but fear not, it starts up again on the other side of the square. The Farragut North Metro station is the southernmost stop on Connecticut Avenue and it's a short walk from the Metro station south to Lafayette Square which adjoins the White House.
Our coverage expands here to encompass the busy (at least Monday through Friday) Farragut Square scene. We include businesses from 16th Street in the east to 18th Street in the west and from M Street in the north to H Street in the south. That's three blocks side to side and five blocks from top to bottom.
The Farragut Square area is home to over 30 restaurants including The Oval Room, Equinox, Taberna del Alabardero, Wasabi, Pizza Hut, Morton's, and McCormick and Schmick's. Seafood, steak and pizza, it's all there in the Farragut Square area.
The Farragut North Metro station has three exits, one at the corner of Connecticut Avenue and K Street and the other two at L Street on either side of Connecticut Avenue. The Metro Web site says the L Street exits close at 10:00 p.m. on weekdays and are closed on Saturdays and Sundays so, when in doubt, use the K Street exit/entrance.
